ALIGNMENT WITH THE UNIVERSE
This universe is in a state of constant movement. It’s the nature of energy. This means that through physical movement we can align ourselves with the nature of this universe.
This way our body literally becomes a doorway to the divine. A way to understand the primordial energy that moves inside of us. To understand not only ourselves, but also this reality that surrounds us. So, we can align our mind and body, our intentions and actions with this very existence.
FEELING AT HOME IN THE BODY
This body is our vehicle. Like with everything, the more we get to know it, the more familiar it gets. The more we learn about it, the more we start trusting it. Trusting the messages it sends us, because now our mind knows how to read the language. Our bodies are communicating with us all the time, but we have forgotten how to listen. How to be in dialogue.
When our mind and body are more in alignment, we tend to feel more at home. In our body and in our life. A space inside opens up where we can relax and expand. Where we can let go of tension and fear and surrender into trust. Because we know ourselves. It might starts small, but the ripple effects are endless.
FINDING OUR OWN RHYTHM
We are all unique in our own way. And so should our practice be! When we develop our own practice we should acknowledge where we are at, right now, respect our boundaries and move in our own pace.
These are many of the same principles as we rely on in our bodywork. We want to invite the body to open and expand, rather than push it. Because pushing the body will only lead to disconnection.
HOW AND WHAT DO WE PRACTICE?
There are many amazing systems of movement that have been developed over the centuries. Think of Yoga, Qigong, Tai Chi and many more.
We take inspiration from all of these systems. To experiment. To get a broader perspective. To see what works and what doesn’t. So that eventually we can draw on our own inner resources. To shape our own practice according to our needs, desires and circumstances. Because we understand the fundamental principles.
